Silkies?

If any of you have silkies could youtalk about them and maybe post pictures?

O ya ummmm do silkies mix well with other cickens?

Welcome! There are lots of people on here that have Bee-yoo-tiful silkies.
I have a handful of them, and yes, they get along well with the other birds.

Not sure what color this little girl is...

They tend to mix okay if you raise them together but I dont keep mine in the pens with standards as I have breeder pens. You can look at my Website and see my silkies

then I have 3 blues!!! Yippee!! AND... she laid her very first egg today. Such a wee little thing, too!

I had 2 black silkie roo's that I kept for a couple of months while trying to rehome them for someone, and the only problem I had with them was that they can't see very well because of their facial plumage, and the standard chickens I have easily intimadated them, so they weren't getting enough feed. I had to seperate them out to feed them.

That's cool... now I can totally see the difference between the black and the blue.

This is my beautiful Buff Silkie Roo. He is a hand full but so sweet. Silkies are my favorite.
