Silkies?

between this site and eggbid I see a lot of people raising, buying, wanting, craving, etc. silkies. I used to have some, but found breeds I liked better.


So I gotta ask, What's the big fascination with silkies?

For one, silkies are chickens

you'd have a ton more comments by now if you were posting on teh normal chicken part. This forum right here is for mostly game birds/ducks/turkeys etc.

I"m getting silkie hatching eggs in the mail hopefully tomorrow, i thnk they are gorgeous, different, and adorable.

They remind me a lot of cochin chickens...except different feathering...just pretty, cute, small very broodie birds.

This is probably silly but I seriosuly wonder if theres silkie turkeys, and silkie peacocks, those would be interesting to see ha ha!
