I noticed this behavior yesterday, but decided to give it a night and see if it went away.
It didn't and here I am. This years chicks have been a mess, it's been one problem after the other.
My Silky chick is twisting her neck to the side, usually after she shakes water or feed off her face.
Wry neck crossed my mind because she is a silky, but I've never dealt with it before so I don't know. I would've already added more vitamin E into her diet anyway in case this is the beginning of wry neck, but I'm currently treating the chicks for coccidiosis, tomorrow is the last day for corid in their water. I'm getting a fecal test done to confirm, but I was fairly certain after I noticed blood in their droppings in addition to having a lethargic chick pass a cecal casing.
As far as I know she hasn't had any head injuries, and her sister isn't pecking at her.
I've checked inside her mouth to make sure there wasn't any feed or hair or something stuck, I didn't see anything.
She had a day or two where she wouldn't eat, but that was probably because of the coccidiosis because she got over it fast after I added corid to their water. Otherwise, she's a very active chick and drinks plenty of water. Her droppings have been kind of watery as of last night and this morning, but nothing super severe.
