Hey there everyone,

I figured I'd share some pictures of my Silky drake, Leonardo. I got him, along with three others (two black females and one white drake) from Holderread Farm in Oregon. They're the cutest little things, about the size of a Call.

He's very friendly, and cuddly. He's probably going to the county fair this year for showing.

Here's some shots of my little Leo.

He's a Silky Duck, it's a new breed of duck. So yep, that's his breed. Thanks!

Oh, he's so cute - looks like he's smiling the whole time for his photo shoot! I'm not too partial to ducks, but this one is making me rethink my "no ducks" position!

The breed is not reconized by anyone (APA or ABA) so it could only win local prizes. As seen from the type (basically the general shape) there is no way to call it a Call. Right now it is a banham duck with a odd feather mutation.

Yep, Silkys are not recognized by any organization. He's just going to the fair; I'm taking my Runners to Farm Show, though. I do hope Silkys get the recognition they deserve at some point of time.

Haha, I knew Leo would be popular. He's so darn cute!

Yep, Silkys sound similar to Calls. They're very loud; my black and white female, Bubbles, is extremely noisy.

He is a happy little duck.
