Silky question....

I have standard sized hens..... and I was wondering if I got a Silky Bantam Roo- could he make babies with my standard hens? Can there be a standard/ bantam cross.... because I think that would be really fun to do with a polish and silky!

I have a bantam EE roo with a standard EE hen girlfriend and her eggs are VERY fertile.

As long as he can get where he needs to be it shouldn't be a problem.

ETA, most of the Silkies in the US aren't really "bantam" sized anyway. Kinda in between. I say go for it.

Bantams and large fowl can interbreed successfully.
