Silly broody hen

One of my pied hens has decided to go brooch. There are a few problems however.
1. I would like her to continue laying for the rest of the season
2. We have a rat problems so I am worried the nest will be destroyed, which happened last year
3. She is sitting on one egg! Thats right one! This is why we did not catch her before it started
I know I am going to break her up and take the egg. I just want to know if you guys think she will lay again the year, she has been sitting since Tuesday if that helps. If you are wondering why I did not break her up yesterday, it is because my mom wants to let her sit and would not let me, but I have made up my mind.

,yes i think she will lay again, being a northern bird. most of mind will lay thru July and a few in Aug.

She is like a super broody, last year she went broody on 2 eggs that were laid the same day, (one from her and one from her sister), she started to sit.
