I know a lot of people don't recommend mixing ducklings with older ducks, but yesterday I just thought I would let them meet and see how it goes. I stayed close by to make sure my babies were safe... silly me I didn't realize it was my big ducks I had to protect! One little duckling marched right up to them and within a couple seconds all of the ducklings were chasing the big boys, they had them running away quacking their heads off

LOL, that's funny! I think the younger ones just wanted to play with the big guys.

You should see this one little duckling at our lake. He thinks he's a big drake and follows the big guys around, lol. So far, they just ignore him. Mom is constantly going after him.

lol...so funny -That reminds me of the day I brought home a brown coloured duckling. It was big enough to go straight out with the flock - but they had never seen another duck that colour and they all ran away from it. I had other with the flock smaller than " brown dude" who had been in a flock of 50 birds so really just wanted to mingle again. Poor guy couldnt get close. Hopefully by the time your are old enough to live outside more permanently the adults wont be so scared of them
