Silly idea?

I’ve got a hen who I think is going broody. My flock is made up of 8 six month old Australorps and 1 barred rock. All hens. Would it be ridiculous to put a couple of silkie eggs under her? I’d love to add some
Floof to my flock but want to see how y’all think they will accept the little ones? My ladies are all rather docile and not real issues so far.

She’s been sitting for a couple of days now. She is puffing up and carrying on when I try and pick her up. Is there an ideal time to add eggs? I’m guessing the sooner the better.

Sounds like she's broody. I'd say give her a chance at hatching?
