I just adopted two young "girls", but one looks like a rooster to me. I'm sure this is a silly question but is it possible to have a female with streamers? I bet not... I'll try to get a pic in the morning. Thanks!

No, only roosters are supposed to have streamers. Post a pic.

In this pic, the cockerel is to the far right, the other three are hens...if you look at the male, you can see long whispy feathers coming from the back of the crest, which are not present on the females...these whispy feathers are the streamers.

Cool, I'll have to go check them again tomorrow. I think I have 5 pullets and one roo, how lucky is that? Only prob is the one that looks rooish is a straight comb, but it is pretty tiny. (the comb, not the bird! The bird is easy twice as big as the others, and they are all the same age)

Do you have pics of them? Usually, sexing a silkie with a single comb is easier than one with a walnut comb. If the comb is small, it could be a pullet. How old are they?

The pics I have are all old, at least 2 or 3 months ago. I bought them as babies this summer. I think they are about 5 or 6 months. Probably closer to 6 months. I'll try to get new pics tomorrow. It's supposed to snow, so I don't know how much luck I'll have. But that one and two others were 'singing' to me today, so idk.

Oh yes, he is a roo! Darn, darn, darn! I am terrible at this. I just got a rooster rehomed today!!! GRRRR... Oh well, he is really sweet. He can stay until he crows. (That was the deal for the last roo) Man! :)
