Silly question here - any way to keep your duck from quaking at 5:30 am?

OMy girls coop is right next to the wall of my house. On the other side of that wall is my bed. Dumb setup I know, but can't change much about that now. Just curious if ducks can be trained or encouraged to NOT quack so early. I can wear ear plugs but then I am afraid I will miss my alarm for work. I feel ridiculous asking but thought there might be some ideas out there. I want my neighbors to like me too! I have Cayuga ducks that are 15 weeks old. One of the reasons I picked this breed was they are known to be quieter....

My girls got quite a bit quieter as they aged. It almost seemed like they couldn't control the volume when they were young. Now they don't quack much until they see me coming in the morning.

I am taking a guess here. Most of the bird species I have ever seen, have light as the trigger for waking up. If there is some way you can prevent the morning light from showing..... Simply "putting a blanket over the coop" would probably restrict air flow too much. But who knows? There could be another way to keep their environment dark, until you open it up.
And I'm sorry if my musings are silly. Just trying to help in any way. Good luck.

The coop I keep mine in doesn't really allow a lot of light in. So my ducks are very quiet until they hear me coming to let them out. Once I let them out they are noisy until they get their breakfast.

I would suggest trying to limit the amount of light they can see.
