Silly Question

Hi lovely community!
This may seem a silly question.
I have a male Muscovy about 8 months old and a female Muscovy cross Indian runner about a year old. I have noticed of late that she is looking a little tired and disheveled and I'm wondering is he wearing her out, the mating is quite brutal to watch

Anyway, she hasn't laid any eggs as yet but I have heard since she is a mule she is infertile. But I was considering getting him another female so he gives her a break but can I only find a pure Muscovy. I don't want ducklings as it's too much hard work and I wouldn't know if I could successfully sell them all and don't want more ducks than that. Would I just collect her eggs like I do chickens to avoid that? Might be a silly question so sorry in advance haha

Yes you could collect the eggs. If she can't sit on them they won't hatch.

Thanks for that. I just walked out to finding him trying to mate with one of my light sssex hens, I have separated him into my yard not knowing what to do. If I get another female duck for him do you think he will leave my hens alone? Or do you think I'm going to have to get rid of him?
