silly question!!

i was wondering if i could give my chickens some potato skin.would that affect there laying if i give them too much?

Yes.
There good for chickens I feed potato skins to my chickens all the time. Rich in Vita./ Mineral.. ( use it as a treat )

It shouldnt affect there laying at all, unless there getting treats (potato skins) than there regular feed (layer)...
I try to keep treats at less than 20% of there intake..

Hmmm, I would be careful with potato skins, I've read somewhere here where someone was saying potato skins were actually bad for your hens. I would think that if you noticed your hens laying habits dropping off alot, it would make sense to stop the treats one by one to figure out what the issue may be. Check out the search section under 'treats for chickens' or some such, there is a really good list of good and bad foods for your flock.
I wish I could give the link, but I cant find it because I forgot to put it in my favorites!! An excellent treat that lasts awhile and is fairly cheap- whole head of cauliflower, just rinse and serve! They love the green leaves on the base too!!

is wouln't kill them but its not good for them and it will make the eggs taste fishy
