Silver appleyard 10 weeks old. Still changing?

They look good, where did you get them?

I have heard that they can have a very loud quack that you can hear 200 yards away, have you noticed that?

These are our silver Appleyards at 6 weeks (4 ducks and 2 drakes). We could start to pick out the drakes by their vocalizations first.

your ducks are so beautiful! I love how you have your pool right at the garden. I am going to try to do something similar to what you have to try to minimize the mud mess which is what their run is now. Do you have your pool on something like landscape cloth?

Thanks! We sure like them an awful lot! That was their duckling pool. It was in the garden on a couple inches of 3/4" crushed granite over landscape fabric (the covering for all our paths between raised beds in our veggie garden).

Our run is covered, and they only have drinking water in there, so it does not become a mud pit. They have a couple of natural pools/ponds around the property when they are foraging, and they have two small black tubs for when they are confined to their fenced field.
