Silver Appleyard Ducks - Photo Heavy

These are my silver appleyards. Some I hatched and some I got from Holderread's last spring.

Aussie Sharon and Heather Have some of my duck hens.

It has been snowing and icing here. They seem to love the colder weather best. They just started laying when the snow came! I have 6 eggs from them since Saturday.

I love ducks! And those are some very nice ducks!
Is the baby pool their "pond" or do you have a real pond? I have wanted to get ducks, but we have no pond for them. I wasn't sure if they would be happy with only a small pool.

The pool is their pond. I am dreaming of a real pond!

I raised some ducks in Austin, and they used to eat all the herbs- we called them "pre-stuffed". And they were very fragrant!

Oh My! those are the prettiest ducks ever!!!!! If I were ever to be able to have a duck, it would be that breed!

Geez - then I would have to change my name to 'Peepsnbunniesnduckies'!

Those pails sure hold their interest!

We had ducks a few years ago and used a small shallow tub, similar to the baby pool, and they loved it.

They love any bucket that has food in it! One is layer feed and flock raiser but the little one is corn, oats and BOSS - their favorite!
