Ginger was listening for a reply to her call when she saw Kai. She nickered to her hoping she would come over.

Kai ran, not noticing anything else. She made the final leap and landed in front of Sky and Flyn. She whinnied loudly and danced on her hind hooves before coming down and baring her teeth.

This the one I wrote so she's acting all brave and stuff

Napoleon shook his mane.

Sugar whinnied to Sky, and Salt did ANOTHER rear

Napoleon didn't hear her, but he turned around and faced the "wall" of the canyon, trapping Sky.

Sky winnied back, not sure if they could hear her

Sugar heard it. Hardly. She prickled her ears forwards. She took a deep breath and bellowed loudly.

Sky stepped forward to the side of Nepoleon to listen for a reply

Napoleon backed up in front of her.
