I picked this pair up today. They were sold to me as a mating pair (so... it goes to assume that one is a hen and one is a rooster). I picked them up yesterday and I was told they were hatched in February so that would make them 6 months old. I've only noticed one problem - neither is crowing. By looking at them, I would assume the one with the black head is the hen and the more white head is a rooster... any input? (sorry for the lighting on pics - the blue tarp kind of throws the color off, but gotta give them some shade).

#2 - Roo?

Yep hen and roo.I raised polish over 5 years years.I have to say my polish roo's were about the loudest crower's in the barnyard. But the roo with the Spikey hair is a roo.He will crow trust me.

Yep, you've sexed them right.

In my experience - it's not the roo who will be the loud one, you need to be worried about when that hen starts chattering (ALL DAY LONG!
