silver laced wyandotte chicks question

Well not sure I will be any help! I have 4 9 week old SLW's and still is hard to tell. Try posting this in the what Breed/Gender section and maybe with pictures would help. Or do a Search for SLW in that section and you will find some comparison pictures. I am hoping my 4 are all hens but suspect at least one rooster and waiting a few more weeks to post pictures.

You should be able to tell by the comb development. The males should have bigger combs and wattles. I know a friend of mine has some around 5-6-7 weeks of age and the male and female both have combs and wattles but the males are much bigger. Hope it help!

Hi, I have a pullet and cockrel about 7 weeks. I feather sexed mine when they were 3 days. The pullet has a flatter smoother comb and the cockrel's is larger, stands up and has points.

Do you have pics?
I could get one of mine today and post it.

Hope this helps.
