Interesting....I'd think there'd be pointed saddle/hackle feathers by 5 months. The ones I'm seeing may be a little curved, but they're round. Is there any way you could get a closer shot of that area?

I see pointed hackle . The saddle doesn’t necessarily need to be pointy , just heading south.
