When I was gone for a week several months ago my mom bought what was supposed to be purebred silver laced wyandotte's. (she got tired of looking at my turkens'

' !)
I don't know if they are hatchery stock or not. now that we are looking at them one doesn't even look laced.
Opinions, are they sliver laced wyandotte's, or some mutts?
these pics where taken today, and they are a couple of months old, still peeping.

here is the one who doesn't even look laced

So opinions--- hatchery stock, normal variance of color, or mutts?

The dark ones in #4 are going to be beautiful when they are grown. They sometimes dont look exactly as you expected when they are young, but they will change alot. Mine did, then they changed even more after their first real molt. They got ever prettier

The look like ours did when they first started feathering. More black then white and laced. They should turn out fine.

Here is one of ours now...born first week of April.

Ok, will give them some more time.
I do know that my pony likes them better then the turkens. poor pony almost had a heart attack when he first saw the buff turkens, and even now he will stand outside of his stall when the turkens come to go through his shavings. I am hoping its the color. He does have issues with other things that color.

I don't know if there mutts or hatchery or what, but there a whole lot easier on the eyes than turkens!!!

I've seen hatchery SLW that were barely laced at all. I think they will look better older, as some of the others have said! #2 and #3 are very good looking birds!
