these silver laced wyndotte are now 6 months old and still no crowing but i do see a difference in them. can someone help me determine if hens or roosters.
by 6 months you would know if they were roosters. I agree they all look like pullets. If they were roosters, they would be significantly taller and larger (huge breast compared to the pullets), they would have advanced sickle and saddle feathers (the long hook shaped tail feathers and the long slender feathers where the tail and body meet. Their combs would be about as fat as your pinky and bright red. The waddles would also be twice the size of the pullets and bright red as well.
The ones with the redder faces and combs are closer to laying than the grey toned ones.
Hi new here. I bought some chicks 5 months ago and among those chicks I bought some silver laced wyndottes. They were suppose to be pullets but I am not sure now I was wandering if you can help me an sexing them.
