I have a hen that has gone broody, and even despite our best efforts, she does not want to break. I really would like to get some Silver Penciled Rock hatching eggs if possible to put under her. Can someone point me in the right direction to a good silver penciled rock breeder? Thanks!!

Hi

I have silver-penciled PRs with fertile eggs, but since I live in Canada I cannot send them to you. Sorry. The silver-penciled PRs seem to be quite scarce. I am going to incubate eggs from my 3 hens and one rooster this coming spring. This will be a learning experience for me. If all goes well, I may be looking for some outside SPPRs to enhance my flock in later breeding.

It is very cold here this time of year (-20 two days this week, with wind chill of -31). Way too cold to incubate eggs yet.

Good luck with your search! And please let me know if you find any of this breed close to you.

Bye for now.
