Hi everyone! I hatched some silverudd's blue eggs 9 weeks ago, and quite obviously not all of them seem like they should. There are 2 splash a black and a blue, that's alright, but then we have 2 reds (one of them maybe brown), and one I've never ever seen before, and she is gorgeous, I love her, I named her my dove. She's just obviously not 100% silverudds 🤷🏼‍♀️
Anyone wanna make guessing what they might be? Thanks in advance.

I had a similar experience. I bought a dozen hatching eggs from a woman claiming they were silverudd's blue hatching eggs. The eggs looked right, but we ended up with chipmunk patterned chicks among the blues and blacks. I reached out to her to ask what mix they were, but she ghosted me and removed all her ads.

The chipmunk chicks did look to carry blue and splash. We sold all of them except one as olive Eggers. The one we kept was a splash chipmunk pattern and has ended up similarly patterned to the top pullet you posted. Very beautiful coloring. I saw the lady post another ad recently selling cockerels as welsummer, marans, silverudd's blue mixes so that's what I assume mine were.

As for yours, I'm not good with the breed guesses so sorry I'm not more help. Your birds ended up with lovely coloring!

Edit: It does look to me from the photos like they have some barring so I'd look at one of the barred breeds as being responsible on at least one side of the parent stock.
