While still living in MT, I had some problems with night visits from predators....fox, raccoon, skunks and badgers. I found a place on the web where I was able to download "sounds", including several versions of barking dogs .... for free....bought the longest timed DVD I could come up with, and with a software program on my computer, made a DVD of those barking dogs.....not steadily, but randomly spaced....and bought a cheap player. Put it on a cross beam on a corner of the (barbed wire) yard fence, and played it nightly, setting the player to repeat when finished with each play through. My house was probably 100 yards from the player, and I lived 3 miles from the nearest neighbor, so there was no problem with them being surly about the noise. It worked quite well....until a particularly nasty and windy storm came in one night, removed the rain cover from the player, and the rain shorted it out. On the corner of the yard away from the player, I made a scarecrow and hung my daily sweaty teeshirt. The predators left us alone while that setup was operational. Maybe something like that would help you, at least for the short term until you are able to off the offender? Good luck. et

I don't know about owls, but our chicks have been listening to the Christus Spohn Catholic station since the day they were born day and night, so far only problems with snakes.
But then I do have an electric fence!
