This is my second attempt at incubating. first set of 12 were infertile.... I now have 42 eggs in the incubator, i know for a fact 1 has a embryo inside i watch it move around, I have around 26 that look viable and 16 or so that as of yet are still clear, I'm also not certain how old/fresh as they were given to me to hatch. This is day 9 the eggs are all brown and hard for me to see through even in the one with the embryo i have as of yet to see veins of any type through out any egg that i have candled

You should see veins by now. Day 10 there will be a large dark mass. If the egg shown in photo has been incubated for 9 days now then it's infertile. It also should have an air cell growing quite well by now too. Your humidity is too high if there is no air cell. As for the non incubating? Don't know what to tell you. Is your temp 99.5 F? If your using an incubator without fan then it should be 102 F measured at top level of egg.

Temp is good humidity is good and yes that egg has a baby in it for sure. im hoping they all do and with my poor eye sight just cant see them yet.

and yes it has a fan in it.. all these eggs are probably from different dates so they are more than likely going to be staggered hatchings

When the egg was laid doesn't mean anything. The 21 days start when you get the temp up to 99.5F. The dark in egg of photo is the yolk. Again, if that egg has been at 99.5 F for 9 days then the humidity is too high. There is no air cell at all in it. Attached is diagram of air cell growth.

yes hun i think you are missing what i am actually saying ... and umm the little black dot in the egg is a chick i will record his or her movement and post it just to clarify.. I know how to use the incubator set the temp and the humidity I clarified that in my second reply.. My simply question was to be if anyone else had a problem not seeing the veins but having a live chick inside the eggs.. and I turn these eggs myself 5 times a day so they are laying not standing on the Pointy end...

Not only can I see the air sac I can also see the chicks eye/embryo unfortunately my video won’t load on here
