Simple things in life

It's interesting the older I get, the things that really seem to bring enjoyment are the simple things in life.

Like....seeing my cat cuddled up sleeping with my son.

the sight and sound of a flock of migrating Canadian Geese

a cup of coffee on a cold morning

a mother hen and her chicks scratching for treats

sound of rain on the roof

a snow covered mountain I can see from where I live


What are some simple things that that bring enjoyment to your life?

my kids sleeping so PEACFULY at night...


my cats laying in the sun

rooster crowing at 5 am in the morning

the tress blowing in the breeze on a nice cool evening


watching my chickens eat grapes

sitting on the porch at night drinking a cold glass of sweet tea listeing to nature..

Getting mostly green lights commuting

Ice cream cone on a hot day

Wild birds @ my feeder - especially the hummers

Getting an "atta boy" from the boss that rarely gives them

Stranger holding the door for you when your hands are full

Soft comfy bed & sleeping in

Chicken-watching outside after a long day at the office.

I love.....

hugs and kisses from my 2 yr old
hearing her use new words
when my stepkids call me "mom"
when DH comes home and says "smells gooood"

simple things....
smelling the flowers
enjoying nature
DH saying might tasty
my teens getting along
sunsets and sun rises
birds at my feeders
watching my animals
quality time with hubby and kids

Trees.

I miss walking through the woods like I did back in Alabama as a kid.

A cool breeze on a summer evening...outside on the back porch listening to nature and visiting with neighbors.
