I've forgotten where I put my wand, so cannot be a Fairy Godmother....

Eventually I'll have to do a write up of this method and put it on the learning section but first I need to name this method....y'all like to vote on the name for the method?

1. Simulated Natural Nest Incubation

2. NN22~Natural Nest, 22 day incubation period

3. Nest22~same concept

4. The Green Method~my last name and a play on words for the use of recycled or repurposed and organic materials( i.e. soil, hay, leaves, cardboard box, heating pad, water wiggler, meat thermometer)

5. The Hootie Hatcher~in honor of the first chick hatched using this method. Kinda catchy and cute but doesn't describe the method much.

6. Faux Broody Bator

7. Nest Box Bator

Let me know which one you like!

How about the Green natural nest Hootie Hatcher!!!

Although the "Hootie Hatcher" is certainly very catchy, especially for those of us who followed the thread I understand what you mean when you say it isn't a very descriptive name...

I actually like #7... but would add a bit of a twist to it... The Nest Box Broody Bator?
For being really descriptive and accurate it is hard to beat the thread title (#1)

I really like 4-7, haha. The Green Method and The Hootie Hatcher are my favorite. I don't think the name necessarily has to describe the method. But Faux Broody Bator and Nest Box (Broody) Bator are awesome for describing the method.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! again Bee and Amelia!

I vote for #1 the original. You had a good reason to name the thread that and it so fits.

Bee, if u r going to do a write up of this method for the learning section ,while the other names hold emotional appeal (particularly to those who have followed this experiment)
I would vote for # 1

still patiently waiting for brooder pics

I vote for #1, Simulated Natural Nest Incubation. I think that best describes this method and it may not get the attention it deserves otherwise. You could always combine a couple names-- Simulated Natural Nest Incubation: The Hootie Hatch.

Well by the time I got to the end of comments someone said what I was thinking 1 and 5 Hootie Hatcher. Glad to see baby is doing well, I got 4 grandbabies and will now have to wait a few years for any more. My son that died was next to marry, then my other son who could care less about kids, then my soon to be 21 yr old daughter who wants a dozen. Then my two youngest girls.
my first grandson died in my arms only lived 20 minutes. He passed before they we done with my daughters delivery. I witnessed two other births of friends a boy that died, a little girl where we almost lost the mother, my bf carried twins and was in renal failure and I decided I was off the being there role but missed the births of 3 grandkids. When my daughter had her last 2 of her sisters attended while I got to be granny and stayed with my autistic grandson. We went to the hospital when we felt it was calm enough to introduce him to his brother. While we wer chatting, the baby turned blue and my daughter said momma should he be this color? No! I started to assess him and told my sil to get a nurse! He still had fluid on his lungs so he got a night in icu..I cried and said next time I wait til you bring them home! He is 2 now and also autistic. Miss my babies. Im a great auntie, surrogate grandma for any kid til more come along..going to go let my babies out and see my big ones got water. Rained last night so want to see how wet the hay got.
