Simulated Natural Nest Incubation~Experiment #1 So it begins....

Lockdown = stop turning and upping humidity.
I'd wait until day 24-25 since you had a few known temp dips.

Without disturbing them too much at all, I've managed to shine a light on at least the air cells and they are definitely growing larger and the rest of the egg is full darkness...I'm assuming that's a darkness full of chick.

I bet you have babies by Monday. Me how ever... I think all mine died due to temp spikes...

Aw, crumbs. I'm sure sorry about that.

This method certainly takes some getting used to. I'm going to try one more time and see if I can get a higher hatch rate.

It really died
I'm going to leave mine for s while and maybe Terry again later. Bit for more my dh days no more chicken eggs.

I am not having much better luck than you with my conventional method. We had two warm days in a row, the eggs I gathered those days are developing. But the eggs are cold when I get home in the evenings. Those eggs are not hatching. Oh well, spring is coming.
