I just took the other two out to put under the momma, she ruffled up and settled right back down...

I gave it a bit of sugar water earlier, may try again, its in there chirping as we speak.. maybe give it til tomorrow...I just hate to see them suffer!

You might want to try Gro Gel Plus or Sav-A-Chick

Electrolyte & Vitamin Supplement and/or Sav-A-Chick

Probiotic Supplement.
Both of the Sav-A-Chick products are available at Tractor Supply. I try to keep all 3 on hand...amongst many other poultry and livestock meds.

Did you help this one out of the shell?

I remember years ago, that some of mine would hatch like this... on their own. Not knowing what to do or how to do it if I did, I would leave them in the incubator with the high humidity. I don't have any idea why this helped, but usually the next day they would be fine. So, hopefully your incubator is still on, if not you can turn it on and give it the rest of the night in the incubator with 50% humidity and then maybe decide in the morning?

Hey guys... Look what I woke up to this morning!!!!






When I went to bed it was laying on its back and didn't look so good, got up at 1:30 and it was in the same position, looked like it was have a spasm.. I truly didn't think it would make it to this morning, thought I would wake up to a dead chick... Got up at 5am to get hubby off to work and the little one was chirping and running around.. I'm not ashamed to say I gave thanks and shed a tear...

Yes,I did help this one out, it was malpositioned and I didn't hatch these in an incubator, those are full of turkey eggs.. Long story short, they were a four days behind the eggs my hen was sitting on, when hers hatched I brought the four extra eggs in knowing she would leave them to care for the chicks that would hatch, I set up a brooder lamp and just waited.. Three days later I candled and two of the four eggs had piped the inner membrane so I moved the whole operation to the bathroom and jacked up the humidity... I call it an un natural incubation method because all these guys had for the last four days was a box with some hay, a brooder lamp and a humidifier and steam from the shower
