Hi,

Have a clutch of polish eggs in the incubator . They are on day 13 now. They were shipped eggs and I started with 14. We are down to 7 now...(worrisome:()
So my question is because polish chickens tend to be smaller, will they hatch a little sooner like the Bantums do? Or are they a general standard chicken gestation 21 to 25 days?
I am just curious...

Also when candeling today the dark mass didnt move as much. Before I could see them bobbing about but today hardley any movement at all and in some, not any. Is this normal or is something bad happening?

Also has anybody used those paper cupcake liners for underneath hatching eggs for easier clean up? Don't know if they would work but I'll bet several of them would hold up and egg. Might affect ventilation tho...
Ideas, thoughts?

Ok thanks for looking.

Nope, they should hatch at random timing (day 21-24) like everyone else.
