Is there any way to clip their toenails? Or should I just wear gloves when handling? I was scratched enough to leave a scar a couple of weeks ago

That's the only downfall of the scovies it seems! Those sharp claws!

I don't think their claws can be cut, and I know their claws can leave a mark, my newsest girls will claw mw up when I have to hold them so I don't hold them unless it's necessary. MY 2 drakes have never clawed me. I know it can happen on accident though. The reason I saw I don't think they can be clipped is one of my girls caught her claw in the fence and it just barely cut her nail and it bleed alot.

Must have got the quick. Not sure I could do it anyway. I don't handle her often, but if I need to, I can never find my darn gloves!

I know what you mean about the gloves I have so many pairs and can never find them when I need a pair.

I only have my runner ducks but we use people toe nail clippers and trim their claws. I don't know if scovies have bigger or harder claws. Just thought that I would throw it out there!
