Hi all
I let my chickens out of their coop into their run this morning around 11am. At the time, it was sunny. Right now though, its raining quite heavily, although not particularly cold. Knowing their coop is open I didn't worry too much, but half an hour ago I went down to check on them, and there they all are - outside, in the heavy rain, apparently having a ball. They all look like they fell in a bathtub somewhere along the line - they are really quite wet, on top as well as underneath due to the long grass they are enjoying running through. I can't help but worry they are all going to die of pneumonia! I've tried in vain to chase them back inside - nope, they don't want to go in. I've tried treats, bribes, promises. They want to play outside in the wet. Do I just give up and let them be? Or should I prepare for a funeral when they all inevitably die of a cold? Thanks in advance. Krista.
