Singing?

I've heard about hens singing when they lay. Well, a few of mine have started to lay and all I've heard is a loud, angry-sounding BUCK BUCK BUCK BEGOCK sound, lol! Although I don't mind the sound at all (it makes me laugh, actually!) it doesn't sound like singing to me at all!

So what is the singing?

That is the egg song. It is not technically a beautiful sound, but it sounds like heaven when you know it means eggs. The egg song still makes me grin.

Yup, that's it. My RIR started singing the day before yesterday. I'm still waiting for her egg.
