single duckling

Why not? As long as you wash your hands and are careful there's no harm in that.
Everything I’ve ever read says not to really pick them up much. It’s just healthier for the duckling. She/he can do whatever they want with there duckling though. I’m just trying to give some information so idk lol. I’ve read and experienced you should not really pick them up until 4-7 days old

Huh interesting I've never heard anything about it being bad to pick up a duckling. I generally handle them as much as possible as ducklings and I've never had any problems.

You shouldn’t really touch a new duckling.
I've always held and cuddled my ducklings and never had any trouble from it.
With a single a soft stuffed animal along with a sturdy mirror that won't fall over on it can help till you have more hatch or can find some.

A couple of my ducklings died from being handled just a couple times at a young age, so I tend to never handle them at a young age. Only if it’s needed 🤷🏼‍♀️
