50 eggs in lockdown on #18 (2 days ago), then 1 peeper broke out on 19 (yesterday, Wed) and is wandering around for nearly 24 hrs now, calling siblings . .
So, I know there's a Do Not Disturb order in place which is usually in effect for 48 hours. My problem is that's about when the rest are DUE to hatch (Fri) and they should be left alone for 48 hrs, leaving "Uno" at age 96 hrs by then (Sun). Do I sneak some food in? Snatch Uno out after 48? Wife is especially concerned about it starving . . .
Thanks!

You can take him out, it won't harm the other eggs. The lockdown thing is really only to prevent humidity loss, but if your humidity is already 60%+ it'll be fine. Many people open the incubator frequently to check eggs while hatching, including myself, and no one has ever had any issues.

Good info coming in!
# 2 just came out, #3 is pipping .
I'll wait for a few more then move to keep the other sailors from getting roll-around drunk!

I've incu'd for years, on & off, but at my age I've learned that I don't know what I don't know, so I'm trying to follow the "Thou Shalt"s a bit more closely these days!
