single hoop houses?

This month in backyard poultry there is a picture of a set up where a breeder is keeping his cocks in small hoop houses just for individual chickens. Would something like this work for a trio of Silkies? I would cover the back part and 1/2 the top and move it everyday to fresh grass. Is this something that would be ok to keep colors separate?

I saw the same article and I'm thinking of doing that for my extra roosters and egg eating hen.
