anyone else have one duck and a job? What do you do when you are away from the house to keep it happy?

Getting another duck would be the first thing I would do

It doesn't like other ducks or its scared of them, he runs between my legs when a duck aproches

An unbreakable mirror might be helpful. Does the duck like music? You might leave a . . . what do we call music-making devices nowadays? I used to call it a stereo. Maybe it's an MP3 player now.

A washable stuffed toy might help.

Can you get some kind of remote baby monitor so you can check on the little one? My nephew has a phone app.
