Singleton chick?????

I have a very broody hen for whom I was able to get only 3 hatching egg.
2 of the 3 were broken in the nest along the way.......so there is only 1 hatching egg left now.
Day 21 is this friday.....and I'm soooooooo excited!
But I'm wonder if there are any issues or problems I should be aware of with having a singleton chick????

Any advice appreciated!!

Hi there, I too have a singleton chick and she is doing very well. She has a good mum and together they are in a house and run away from the others, but near enough to see them. We let them out today to freerange with the chickens they will eventually live with. Unfortunately mum is still very protective of the 6 week old chick and wanted to fight with one of the hens ! I quickly put them back in their run ! I think re integration will probably be the hardest part but I am sure with a bit of patience and understanding things will work out fine.
