My tooth started hurting... again and sure enough I have another sinus infection. I just got over the last one......

got a nettie pot? I used one during my last sinus infection and it went away really fast and havent had another one since then, and it has been almost a year.

Do you typically get them after a bout of allergies? I used to like clockwork every fall, until my new doctor gave me a corticosteroid nasal spray. It did the trick! Keeps inflammation down so everything is free-flowing and no bacteria can get stuck and make an infection. I haven's had to take an antibiotic since. Just an idea, good luck!

I was going to suggest this - these things work wonders!!! I was on vacation in Savannah, GA and my sinuses were killing me. I didn't want to go to the ER for a sinus infection. My brother recommended a nettie pot, and by the next morning I felt soooo much better. I call them "snot pots" and they're a little weird to use, but they are wonderful! You just basically wash out your sinuses with saline/salt water. No chemicals, either.

Hope you feel better!

I use a NeilMed. The nettie pot was too awkward for me but once I really started the sinus rinses not only did I stop getting the endless infections, but it eased my asthma symptoms. Some of my asthma is caused my post nasal drip.... Who knew?

The ENT doc and I were discussing sinus surgery and now I have been over a year with no infections!

I know I sound like an infomercial but it was SO gross sounding to me I really did NOT want to do it. But it is SO worth it!

Thanks Chicks... I'll look into it. I've been using a Saline nasel spray.............. but I still have so much pressure! Hubby has hidden all the pliers because I keep saying I want to rip out this tooth... hehe

I used saline sprays and cortocosteroid sprays for several years. I got headaches and nosebleeds and some relief that did not last.

It has to be a full nasal rinse.

A chiro can help too. I went for neck and shoulder pain and stiffness and after a few treatments I never have had a sinus infection since. I had one about every other month before that for years. Was on every type of antiobiotic you could name, because I would get immune to them. Helped allergies too. I honestly felt like a new person after those treatments and I need to go back. I can feel things starting to happen again like it did before!!!
