I have a Pekin duck who's been consistently sitting for about 3 weeks. When she gets out to eat and drink, I notice that her belly hangs down a bit in the middle, almost like her belly/chest area is indented from the shape of the nest. I don't know if this is normal, I'm just worried that she might not be getting enough food. Is this normal?

Well Pekins rarely sit, so congrats on that! She's a week shy of coming out of her nest So hopefully she can bear a couple more days. At least you have seen her eat! How many eggs is she sitting on?

I was excited when she started sitting! We had a false start before, she sat for a few days then got bored or something :)

She's got quite a few, she doesn't like me near her nest and I don't want to bug her too much, but it looks like she's got about a dozen in there. I'll be upset if we don't get at least a couple ducklings!

Hahahaha, I am pretty sure you will get more than a couple! This year I let my broody turkey hen hatch some ducklings because my Pekin duck wouldn't sit...
