Look like girls to me too.

I'm glad you mentioned the tail feathers in the "hand" photos because it does make them appear curled when they're really not. I wish I could have gotten the little buggers to stand still for photos. They weren't very cooperative.

I got 16. Since I ordered 15 I knew one was a roo. By 3 weeks we could tell. He is a goon in comparison. LOL. At 5 weeks his tail is the give away. All the others have nice square ones and his is more narrow and is curved under.

OH NO! Lily is probably my favorite. "She's" been developing a redder cast and richer coloring over time.

Red on the wing/back is a cockerel sign. However, if red is part of her overall coloring pattern, that's different. It's really unclear from the photo angle. So, please don't panic, her comb is still very light and undeveloped.

You're right, Lily's comb is only one row.

That's excellent news! Red is a part of Lily's overall coloring. In the photo where she's stretched out in the dirt, taking a bath, you can see the red tones on her body and breast. I have a 22-week old Ameraucana pullet with somewhat similar coloring.

I appreciate all of the insight I'm gaining!
