I hatching my rhode islands reds. As they hatch one by one. Should i wait for all to hatch.Or take out each when. Won't that affect the rest of hatching process
Hi and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined us. I asked the same question last week. Best advice that i got was that its fine to take chicks out of the incubator, once they are dried out and fluffy but that its best to do so, when it there is a lull in hatching (i.e. no zipping - chick making its final breakout from the shell).
I guess it depends on how efficient your incubator is at getting back to the correct relative humidity. Its worth mentioning that the many people leave the all the chicks in the incubator until all are hatched. If you are unsure, I'd do that. Chicks can survive quite happily for at least 2 days without food or water.
