generally it will possibly have 3/4 its size
they generally take full 12 months to finish and have full size

the cockerels of old english games need almost 10 months to have the two tail feathers grown out to be able to dub at that time
if they do not have the 2 tail feathers the shock of dubbing will leave marks in the feather pattern where the feather was only so long

so give them at least 10-11 months to figure out the final size
