I have 3 rir's that are about ready to start laying . NOT sure of the age tho . BUT their faces are turning red and their combs are growing out more and turning pinkish .,......

How big will the comb be when they do start laying ?

Face is normal to turn red before they start laying ? Any pics of pullets that just started laying would HELP

The change in their combs and faces is normal, and a good sign that they will start laying.

Once they do start laying, their faces and legs will bleach out.

I'm not sure how big their combs will get, as I only have 2 bantam RIR's. Their combs aren't very big at all.

Have fun waiting for them eggs!! [IMG]

not sure how they did it. lots of time i guess breeding small birds back to small birds. but long story short. you can just about get any full size breed in bantam now.

Is there a name for mixed breeds or a site I could go to, because I have brahmas mixed with easter eggers?
