I have found the quality of some Dumor feeds to be spotty, and stopped using it years ago.

For my Buckeye chicks, I start them on Turkey Starter, which has a nice high protein level of about 23%. I feed them that for about the first four weeks, then switch them to a show bird feed that has 20% protein, and includes animal proteins, which is what I feed all my Buckeyes.

Most generic poultry feeds have only about 16% protein, which will not allow Buckeyes to reach their full growth potential. If you can, try to find a feed near you that has higher levels of protein, and some animal protein. Brands will depend on your location, and you may have to request that your feed store start carrying something specifically for you, which some will do, and some will not.

If you can't find a better feed than Dumor, you can try supplementing your birds with dry cat food, checking to be sure the protein levels are at about 30%. I feed about a cup per every 20 birds, scattered in their day range area every other day (every day in winter.) They love it, and it helps them grow and stay in good condition.
