Size of entrance?

I’m trying to make a little hiding place for my 6 week old chicks. What’s a good size for the entrance that will allow the little guys in but keep the big hens out?

At 6 weeks, probably slightly larger than a standard red brick height & width. You want more than 1 entrance/exit to prevent birds from getting blocked in/out.

At 6 weeks the chicks opening might need to be almost as large as the older birds can get thru.
I had a slimline hen that got thru my tiny doors at first, luckily I made the door adjustable. I had taken down the barrier wall by 6 weeks.
