The owner of the place we stay had 2 geese. One died and because does really care for them we sort of took over the one left. I have written about him on this forum we got him a friend, must be some mixed breed because hy is very small but it was we could get. They seem quite happy with each other. A place a photo of them, the big one sits in his bath like a lord but cac anyone please tell me if the little one in the back looks fully grown. Winter is approaching but they are both starting to eat less, can there be a specific reason?

Sorry forgot picture

It looks like it’s fully grown, if not there will only be a small bit of growing left.

The only thing reasons why geese would start eating less is illness, something in the feed tastes bad of if there’s a change in feed, or stress.

I think I may just be parnoid, when we started feed the big one and when we got the little one they where ravenous. They are both nice and fat now I suppose they are eating normal now. I tend to worry about them because I do not really know geese and I love then so much

That’s normal, we goose people all go a little crazy worrying about them, it means you’re a good owner. ☺️
