Size of mesh to keep bantams in

I would use 1" chicken wire (sometimes called rabbit wire), or 2" mesh wire which is a lot better looking and not much more expensive

That looks like the same stuff I was talking about. It is very flexible and unless you have some way of securing it at the bottom, your bantys may be able to scoot underneath it. I guess all you can do is try it. It would surely be easier to work with than chicken wire. It could be that all the chickens need is a visual barrier between them and the big chickens but if they get spooked they will probably be under it in two seconds. Which in reality probably wouldn't be the end of the world. I am curious, as I have never wanted bantams, are you not supposed to put the little guys with big chickens? Are they that much smaller?

We are going to integrate bantams with LF, hopefully.
Later this summer we are going to drastically expand our perimeter. Right now we have a circular shaped run with about 130 of field fence. For right now we want to put either the plastic fence up on the field fence.

Owen wants to really get into 4h poultry. He wants to breed birds and do meat chickens as well. We are planning 450 - 600 feet of fence. We are going to have a 5' electric fence with 7 wires or so. We plan on doing different pens inside the perimeter.
