how does sizzle breeding work again?
I own 2 buff coloured pekin bantam frizzle hens, and I also own silkies, I want to breed my hens to my silkie rooster to get frizzle. I know most of the chicks will be smooth and some will be frizzle.
but I been thinking if I then breed there offspring again to a silkie rooster, do they get the silkie feathers again or are the still smooth or frizzle, when do the silkie feathers come again? so I know when I should breed them again to smooth rooster (if the hen is frizzle) or pekin bantam frizzle rooster if the hen is smooth

also I would like them (or some of them) to be in the buff color like there moms. my silkie roosters are white and the other one is red. which one would be a better chose for this?

I own 2 buff coloured pekin bantam frizzle hens, and I also own silkies, I want to breed my hens to my silkie rooster to get frizzle. I know most of the chicks will be smooth and some will be frizzle. 50% frizzle-50% smooth.
but I been thinking if I then breed there offspring again to a silkie rooster, do they get the silkie feathers again 75% silkied-25% frizzle or 25% smooth depending if the hen is frizzle or smooth or are the still smooth or frizzle, when do the silkie feathers come again? so I know when I should breed them again to smooth rooster (if the hen is frizzle) or pekin bantam frizzle rooster if the hen is smooth frizzle should be paired with smooth. A silkied paired to a frizzle will produce 50% frizzle and 50% smooth (all chicks would have a hidden gene for silkied).

A chicken needs only 1 frizzle gene to be frizzle, but a silkied must have 2 silkied genes in order to be silkied.

also I would like them (or some of them) to be in the buff color like there moms. my silkie roosters are white and the other one is red. which one would be a better chose for this? This I am not sure.

I hope someone will correct me on the percentages if I am wrong.
