Camilla has yellow crusty skin under her wing? What could this be??

Almost looks like a healing/healed injury with dried blood flecks on the feathers. Wish I could do better than that.

@sourland has made a reasonable observation.
Do you have any closeup photo of the skin? Do you find any more of that blackish debris anywhere else on the body - around the vent, under the other wing, etc.?

You may want to take a flashlight and check your hens at night for mites to make sure you don't have a parasite infestation. Could be that she is over picking/preening and has damaged her skin.

If you find any mites/lice, then treating your flock and coop with a Permethrin based poultry spray or dust would be in order.

It's under both wings but not on the other birds. The black specks I think are from her dirt bath. I will check for mites tonight.
