Quote: Chance was Gone.
Chanelle smiled while grazing and lifted her head "Hello Elkirr," she said with a smile.
Pride galloped over to Elkirr with a Piercing whinny "Hello Dad!" he said happily.
There was another whinny after he left, a much louder one at that. It echoed through the valley, before suddenly coming to a halt. Seconds later the same actions were repeated. What was odd was that there were five more whinnies following it, all from different horses.
"Hello," he said, nuzzling her neck. He leaned his neck down to Pride and smiled. "And hello there, Pride. How have you been?"
Chance's ears perked and he let out a Loud neigh, answering to the whinnies. He was a bit frantic trying to figure out which one was Junipers.
Chanelle's ears went red in a bit of a blush and she took a bite out of some grass, trying to get her ears to go normal again.
Pride jumped up in a rear "Fine! Mommy says I shouldn't watch that loner.." he said landing his hooves on a rock and squealing a bit in pain.
There was the same whinny from the same horse again, it sounded much closer. The scent of several horses could be recognized, the majority of them mares.
"Careful," he said. "You don't want to get yourself hurt..."
Chance wondered if it was her, but he could smell more mares. He sighed "Probably just some mare from the Skyherd to scare me off I guess..Or that dang Colt," he narrowed his eyes into just tiny slits.
Chanelle licked Pride's head "Yes..Careful young one, and don't think about those Noamds," she said with harsh warning "They're just trouble," she said.
Pride looked confuse "Why are they trouble?" he looked to Elkirr.
There was a frustrated whinny. "Hey!" she yelled. It was Juniper. "Where are-" She was suddenly cut off. Shortly afterwards she let out a small squeal.
"Well... For one thing, you're still young and need to be under your mother's care. An older colt or stallion could come along and very easily kill you."
